Graduation of The Green Lion Kindergarten 2019
The Green Lion Indonesia established The Green Lion Kindergarten in Bali in the year 2015 hoping to support the local communities by providing free education for kids whose families are not able to provide them with proper kindergarten education.
Since then, we have accepted about 193 Students to our kindergarten. We provide free education to all our students in our kindergarten along with stationary and other equipment. We aim to give our students a complete and learner-friendly environment while focusing on teaching and improving their skills in the English language. In 2019, we have enrolled 90 students in the kindergarten located in Buruan district. This June, we celebrated the graduation ceremony of 40 students who finished their kindergarten this year. And we made sure that they are sent off with a celebration. So we organized the graduation party with a grand ceremony. The event was held on the 11th of June 2019 in Ubud. There were colorful dancing and modeling performances by the kids who graduated this year.
Prof.Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Weda Karna, the senator of Bali attended the ceremony as the chief guest. As the person in charge of Education and Culture in Bali, Prof. Karna has always supported our kindergarten and was pleased to attend this event to see the live outcomes of our endeavors. Our TGL Indonesia team attended the ceremony with the parents of the kids and other guests. As these 40 kids say goodbye, we are looking forward to accepting 40 new students to replace them at the beginning of the next study year which will begin in July 2019.
In order to help more and more communities in Bali, we will soon open our new kindergarten in Blusung, Pejeng, that can accommodate 50 students. In 2019-2020, there will be 140 kids studying in our TGL kindergartens, who will receive free education according to international standards. This event marked another milestone for The Green Lion Kindergarten and The Green Lion Indonesia. We will expand the possibilities to support the needy in our communities while making sure that our help is given to those who deserve it.
We believe that creating a better future can only be achieved by educating our new generations in the right way.
