You’ll dive into rich local culture with language classes, cooking workshops, traditional dance, and tapa cloth making. Your journey includes hands-on volunteer work with teaching, conservation, or helping in kindergartens. From Sigatoka to Nadi and the islands beyond, this trip is a vibrant blend of giving back, adventure, and tropical beauty.

Your itinerary could look like this:


Day 1 – Arrival in Sigatoka

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be picked up and transferred to the Centre in Sigatoka. After settling in, you’ll receive a short introduction to the Centre and meet the team. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and take time to rest after your journey.

Day 2 – Orientation and Cultural Introduction

Start the day with an introduction session, where you’ll go over the itinerary, learn about your upcoming projects, and receive an overview of Fijian culture, customs, and community expectations. In the afternoon, take a tour of Sigatoka town where you can purchase a SIM card, withdraw cash, exchange money, and do any essential shopping. In the evening, join your first Fijian language class.

Day 3 – Community Project and Fijian Cooking Class

Engage in your assigned social service and community project. You may be involved in teaching, working at a kindergarten, construction, or sports education activities. After continuing your project in the afternoon, enjoy a hands-on Fijian cooking class in the evening where you’ll prepare your own local dinner.

Day 4 – Community Project and Group Time

Continue your work on the community project during both the morning and afternoon. In the evening, enjoy free time to relax or take part in optional group activities.

Day 5 – Community Project and Meke Dance Lesson

Continue your project work during the day, which may also include environmental conservation activities in the afternoon. In the evening, immerse yourself in Fijian culture with a traditional meke dance lesson. Experience the rhythmic movements and vibrant expressions of Fijian storytelling through dance.

Day 5 – Community Project and Meke Dance Lesson

Continue your project work during the day, which may also include environmental conservation activities in the afternoon. Day 6 – Cultural Sites and Tapa Workshop

Begin the day with a visit to the famous Mud Pool and the Garden of the Sleeping Giant. In the afternoon, take part in a tapa-making workshop where you will learn about this traditional Fijian cloth, its creation, symbolism, and cultural importance. In the evening, play sports and interact with local children.

Day 7 – Historical Tour and Nature Excursion

In the morning, explore Sigatoka Fort Hill, a historical site with panoramic views and insights into Fiji’s past. Afterward, visit Biausevu Waterfall where you’ll experience the tranquility and beauty of Fijian nature. Conclude the day with a BBQ dinner and bonfire.

Day 8 – Village Experience and Transfer to Nadi

Travel to a traditional village and be welcomed by the villagers. Take a walking tour of the village, have lunch with the community, visit plantations, and learn how to build a traditional Fijian house (bure). Take part in preparing a lovo feast and enjoy a kava ceremony. In the evening, transfer to Nadi for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9 – Island Excursion Day

Depart early from Port Denarau for a full-day island trip. Spend the day exploring the island, snorkeling, relaxing on the beach, and joining cultural activities. In the evening, return to the mainland and rest at your hotel in Nadi.

Day 10 – Departure

Pack your bags and say your goodbyes to the local team. You’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure.
