Sri Lanka | 10 Days

This 10-day group adventure in Sri Lanka is an unforgettable way to blend cultural discovery, meaningful volunteering, and once-in-a-lifetime moments with your fellow travelers. Based primarily in the beautiful hill country city of Kandy, your group will roll up your sleeves to contribute to local social service projects that truly matter. Whether you’re helping out in kindergartens, supporting special needs children, coaching sports, teaching English, or lending a hand in environmental conservation, every day is filled with opportunities to make a genuine impact. Along the way, you’ll build close connections with local communities, learn about Sri Lankan customs, and experience the country’s warm hospitality firsthand.

Outside of your project hours, your group will have the chance to fully immerse yourselves in Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage. Explore Kandy’s most iconic landmarks and stroll around peaceful Kandy Lake, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth, and discover local craft markets. Together, you’ll travel through the stunning highlands to the laid-back mountain town of Ella, famous for its tea plantations, waterfalls, and breathtaking scenery. In the evenings, you’ll bond as a group during fun cultural activities like traditional Sri Lankan dance lessons and a hands-on cooking class where you’ll learn to make delicious local dishes.

Other highlights on this Sri Lanka group adventure include visiting an elephant sanctuary where you’ll see these gentle giants up close in an ethical, respectful setting, and hiking to the top of Pidurangala Rock to catch a stunning sunset view over Sigiriya. You’ll also spend meaningful time with local children during creative exchanges and village visits that bring you closer to everyday Sri Lankan life. This 10-day program is all about connecting, giving back, and discovering the best of Sri Lanka as a team.
