The first week has been great because I learnt more about Ethiopian culture and the kids were very obedient. We also went together to a traditional club where we practised a traditional dance with the shoulders which was very funny. And I also enjoyed playing football with the kids.

The project and the kids were so good to me. I think I learned a lot from the kids about their culture and I hope they learned something from me as well. The project offered me everything, good food, nice accommodation and a great coordinator.

 

Eyasu, more than a good coordinator you have been a good friend like a brother. You helped from the first moment when you picked me up from the airport. You introduced me to every one of your friends and to the local culture. The house was amazing and the food also. You were very helpful with the kids because whenever there was a language problem you solved it. Moreover, you taught me Amharic language and we had a good time together with James and the other participant Irene. I am really grateful for what you did, you made my experience great. Amasaginalo Yeni Wendin (thank you, my brother).
