This year I decided to celebrate my birthday by joining a Green Lion project in Hua Hin. On the second day of my project, everything changed. COVID-19 reached also The land of smile. Flights started to be cancelled, bars and some markets started to close down, and unfortunately, children were not allowed to attend our English classes anymore. The other participants and I had to make a decision to go back ASAP to our countries or stay here, at Greenway. Seven of us decided to stay.

As it looks like we will be here for a long time we decided to spend that time usefully and not just sit and wait. With the coordinators’ help, we make a weekly program where each of us has to come up with an idea. Let me say I feel very lucky because the team is very creative. The timetable is always full of exciting activities;

• Thai Language class
• Water gym
• Cooking class
• Agriculture/we started to plant our own kitchen garden/Temple cleaning
• Photography course
• Planting Mangrove

In the next few days, we also start with our little farm. We will have some chickens. Everyone is very excited about it.
