Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to make a difference
The world is ever changing with it so are the other elements around it. With all the different things happening Green lion, Goa decided in going on a venture with the children, where the children are aware of the onsets of different issues happening. So each week we kept different issue related matters which the children would discuss about later. The children at the Outreach had sessions on Hurricanes as it was an ongoing event happening on the other side of the world.

The children learnt about Hurricanes, which was all together, a new concept for the children who didn’t even know that things like that could happen and were happening on the other side. The children learnt about what were hurricanes, how they are formed and what are the effects of it. Took the children for a small visit to a fort where the children didn’t what were the uses of a fort and they explored it themselves. The children are ever keen in learning more and more and always keep their minds open.
Hungry for more

Knowledge, knowledge everywhere, from books, the board or even from games. We say that a child’s mind widens after being in contact with the concept which the child wants to learn, and that’s what’s happening in The Green Lion School. The children are given an opportunity to learn different concepts, through songs or games, pictures or even movies. The children have startled all of us based on how they are quick in learning and grasping knowledge but also want to play. The children are getting a balance of both studies as well as fun and a little bit of yoga too. No matter where you or what age one is, everyone wants to learn. Our volunteers at the women shelter have been teaching the women and improving their reading and writing skills. With the technology redefining itself everyday even the People at the old age home is learning more and more about different features in their phones, using social media apps etc, and the volunteers are ever happy in helping them.
