GETTING STARTED WITH THE GREEN LION

In many countries we receive participants every week, in some countries only on specific dates. In most countries participants are encouraged to arrive on Sunday to start their program on Monday. In some countries we arrange pickups on Saturday as well. Our programs in St Lucia start on Sunday, arrival is on Friday.

Pick-ups on the dates we list as part of the specific arrival instruction are included in the program price. We can usually arrange private pick-ups at extra cost.

In  all countries we offer to pick up participants at the airport. Usually on Sunday, in some countries Saturday and Sunday.  Usually our transfer coordinator awaits our participants there, holding a sign saying either “The Green Lion” or the name of the participant.

In most countries we give an arrival time window, such as 08:00 to 20:00. This refers to the scheduled arrival time of the flight. For participants arriving within this time on the dates listed by us the pick up is included in the program price. If a flight gets delayed, we still arrange the pickup without extra cost.

Procedure

Due to the many different personal plans and return flight times people have, we have found it logistically simpler to allow them to make their own way; whether it is to do more travelling or return to the airport. We do not cover your transfer costs to the airport.

Check-out

At most of or locations, participants are required to check out on Saturday after their last program week. They usually vacate the rooms after breakfast and we take them to the closest bus station. If participants want to depart later, they still need to leave their rooms after breakfast but can deposit their luggage with us. For exact check-out times, please refer to the location details.

Departure flights

Please refer to the specific location details for a recommendation which airport to fly out from and an estimate on the travel to get there. Handle our time estimates with caution, anything could happen. A bus might be behind schedule, a taxi might be stuck in traffic. Book the departure flight late enough to have sufficient buffer time.
