Once known as the Khmer empire, Cambodia is perhaps best known for its monumental temples, especially that of Angkor Wat – finalist in the election of the new 7 wonders of the world in 2006. Angkor Wat and with this Cambodia should be on every travelers bucket list. With great beaches, welcoming culture, friendly people, many historical sites and nice temperatures around the year; Cambodia has much, much more to offer for the traveler besides Angor Wat.
It is here in a small village called Samraong where The Green Lion operates its own English language (Greenway School) school for underprivileged children. With 200 children attending on a daily basis and 200 more children on the waiting list (we will build a second school), this project truly has an enormous impact inside the local community. The Greenway School is regarded by many as one of our top projects!
The project portfolio in Cambodia further contains social projects such as; medical outreach, sport coaching and construction. You can also help to improve the environment in Cambodia on either the Mangrove or Marine conservation project or assist with protecting Cambodia’s cultural heritage on the Temple Conservation project.
