Cambodia Greenway School: Experiences By Matilda, Sweden.

I’m Matilda from Sweden. I’ve been here in Samraong working as a teacher for the Greenway School for six weeks now and have still two more weeks to go. To be a teacher here has been such an experience, I think I’ve learnt at least as much from the kids as I’ve tried to learn them. Even though it’s very energy draining to be around a group of energetic kids all day…it also gives a lot of energy.

I’m always biking home everyday smiling. I’ve found the project very well organised and you can tell that the staff works to make the school as good as possible for the kids, as well as for the volunteers. The accommodation is nice and it’s a good atmosphere amongst the volunteers.

Even though a lot of people always are coming and going, I really feel at home here. Six weeks have passed by so quick and I really don’t look forward to saying goodbye to all the amazing kids I’ve got to know. This will be a time I will bear with me for a long time.
