“The experience from Ruth”

It was a tremendous welcome to the New Year 2018, with celebrations everywhere. The new and old participants were a part of it too. Yet another year of trial and error towards development, which is always a of method of learning.

The mornings were all packed with

participants doing various projects. Starting with the elderly home, who bestowed their prayers and blessings on the participants for a good, healthy and a prosperous New Year. The participants tried different challenging activities, mostly memory games to challenge the elderly. It is not always where everyone succeeds, but some of them actually did. And the participants were successful in communicating with the quiet ones too. A wonderful achievement for the whole team!

The Animal welfare project helps the animals which is a part of the community who cannot help themselves. With more and more animals getting injured and hurt, there is always a need of help to take care of these animals. Now with a new recruit of an injured horse, its hands on deck. The participants were always up for the hard work and gave a helping hand where needed.

The Green Lion Community School is making a very good progress, where it is successfully running two projects under the same roof.

• TGL School

The participants teaching in the school are helping making a difference in the children’s education and the children, like a sponge, are absorbing all the knowledge fed to them. Now our children have started to write and show a great excitement to learn more.

• Women Empowerment Project

The project is continuing smoothly and the volunteers are helping the women to find more innovative and efficient ways in making the candles and packing them.

In the afternoons, all the participants are indulged in planning and preparing the matter and materials for the lessons at the migrant Outreach program.  Here the participants are parts of different age groups of children. Based on their ages the participants have to prepare different lessons for grammar, mathematics, and science. Every day, they prepare different mathematical lessons and different topics on germination, photosynthesis, food-web, water cycle, etc.
