The Green Lion
A picnic is one of the best tools to refresh and recharge your batteries when you get bored with routine and want to get rid of work.
This year, we made a plan for an annual picnic with the Green Lion Nepal Team. The spot and date were confirmed by all the staff, it was Jarsing Pauwa and the date was 11th January. Jarsing Pauwa is a great location to get fresh air, be close to nature and the main part is that it makes you feel sitting on the lap of the mountain range.
There were 21 people including kids. We made preparations for the picnic including refreshments and games, a music system for entertainment. Weather was clean and perfect for the picnic. With the lots of expectation for the day, we met at the office on 8:00 am and started at 08:15 am. We reached the place around 10:00. During the journey, we danced and sang and we had a lot of fun already. We reach our booking spot, but we didnβt like that spot! So changed the plan and found another place 15 minutes drive away and it which was really wonderful and it was as if we were at the lap of the mountain.
We arranged everything to make snacks, and we didnβt forget to click some pictures of the mountain ranges before the weather changes. We prepared snacks such as Egg, Chicken, Fish, Bitten Rice, Prawn, Gundruk and soft drinks and there was music in the background.
After the refreshments, kids started playing badminton and some of us started playing a game of football. And as any event we do it Nepal, there were dancing and music.
Then we sat around and played BINGO, bingo was facilitated by Mr Rajesh which was amazing as he made each and every step interesting. Price per ticket was Rs. 50 if they wanted they could buy more than 1 as well. First prize was Rs.400 and it was won by Mr Lok. The prize for the next category was Rs. 100 and it was won by Mrs Bandhana. Four corners were won by Ms Prema, First row by Mr Shresant, Second-row by Mr Lok and third-row By Ms Prema.
After the activities, we had lunch together which looked like the lunchtime of a family. For the lunch, we had the Pulawu, Chicken, Fish, Vegetable, Pickle, Soft drinks and for the dessert, there was Gulab Jamum.
After Lunch, we started dancing again because we all were having a great time and also, we wanted to enjoy the day to the fullest. Around four-thirty, we prepared to leave. We packed up all our goods and we cleaned up place before we left.
The day was indeed amazing, unexpected and memorable for all of us.
