Experience of  Wangyun, France

Joining the program in Sri Lanka was so good and to be honest, I don’t want to go back home.

I spent one week on school renovation in Yahalathanna Primary school. It’s a tiny school with only 18 children. Kids there are sooo cute. They are curious about you and try to get in touch with you. Every time you pass by them, they say “hi” and “bye” together. And we use these only 2 words to spend the whole week together but it’s really a nice experience.

Then I spent three weeks on special needs project and I feel so lucky that I had the chance to be there as a participant. At the beginning, I thought we are different from women and children there, however, there’s nothing different between us. We think we are in a regular place but actually we are nothing but the majority with same kind of behaviors. On the contrary, each of them has different behaviors (and we call this “disorders” according to our own perspective) and each deserve to be loved.

You may need to spend more time, use more efforts to “push” them to act like you and get them to understand you. And you can feel your life changing along with theirs.
