Photo Essay: Palawan in Black & White

October 9, 2016

The Green Lion

Think of the Philippines and the first thing that will pop into mind will be emerald blue waters back-dropped by lush jungle-cappedΒ mountains that rise elegantly from the ocean and days on end of island-hopping around this paradisiacal archipelago.

It is only when you arrive here that you realize that the epic scenery is just the cherry on top of the other blissfully perfect aspects that force everyone to keep coming backΒ – the sheer happiness found in every-day situations, the vast culture, theΒ amazingly happyΒ Pinoys, the welcoming smiles and everything else in-between.

Photographer Ondrej LednickyΒ traveled to Palawan and the black and white photographs he is sending back to us prove just that.Β Take the bright hues of blues and greens away and Palawan still manages to stand out from the crowd.
