TGL Nepal Team | Saying Goodbye to a Splendid Year!

The Green Lion
29th of December was the day all of us at The Green Lion Nepal were eagerly waiting for. The excitement of singing a song together, making fun of each other and sharing the same dance floor had thrilled all the staff. The brains that share a desk, bring new ideas and work together for the better impact, were excited to create a pack of fun memories together. The staff who gather the work formulae are now together to plan a fun full picnic. We, The Green Lion Nepal organize short trips and picnics time and again to recharge the energy of all the staffs and create a stronger bond. The team has created lots of memorable trips each and every time we break the monotony of the work.
We decided to take in sweeping views of the Kathmandu valley, from the 2000 meters of elevation of Ghyampe Danda. This is a spot that is quite famous for its breath taking views of the entire valley, including the three ancient cities; Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. The place gained more value with the βAshramβ that has been built by the saint named Pilot Baba who spent many years roaming in Nepal. The top of the hill provides the serene beauty of mountain range on a clear sunny day. We visited the Pilot Baba, roamed around there and captured memories in our phones. The short visit to the spectacular Pilot Baba was followed by visiting the spot on the top βGhyampe Dandaβ.
The hungry stomaches were filled with the delicious barbecue and the snacks we instantly prepared after our arrival. Everyone of the team joined hands to prepare and serve the food. The filled tummies energized us all and were more than ready to start playing games. The Lotto ticket was sold and the game was hosted by our Country Director, with a funny and excited way. After the refreshing games we started making βMO: MOsβ; where everyone was busy showing their creative Mo:Mo designs. The delicious dish was prepared and we started playing the card games along with the taste of the famous dish of Nepalese people. The picnic was over around four, however the fun was not over yet. We played the βAntakshriβ musical game on the way to the center. The energy was still flowing inside the bus till we reached the center.
With cheer and loads of good memories all of us ended the day filled with joy and fun, and that was our way of saying goodbye to a splendid year, while hoping for a brighter new year to follow.
